A good day: Gym session followed by some forward-p $A good day: Gym session followed by some forward-planning for coached runners as we start to look to big races in 2025, then a couple of client catch-up calls. And finally - my own run, the first one since I fractured my hip back in November last year. It's going to be a long journey back but over the moon to have started it. This process has taught me to value everything I can do, so for now I will enjoy running short and slow, making the most of being outside and treasure just being able to do it. Busy day today. Started at the gym for my own sess

6 months after fracturing my femoral head at a rac $6 months after fracturing my femoral head at a race, today I finally got the all clear from my consultant to ditch the crutches and start rehab proper. It has been, and will continue to be, a long journey. I am so thankful to my amazing clients for their patience and understanding during this time. I have learnt a lot about patience, discipline, mindset, resilience and finding the positives. I have also learnt that I hate swimming. Really a lot... But that's where the discipline kicks in, it needed doing so it got done. I hope that I can carry some of what I have learnt through to my coaching - that clients current and new will recognise that injuries may happen, but they can be worked through, we can come back stronger and there is great stuff to look forward to at the other side. I know I have a long way to go and that the way I train in the future will look different, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. Short term though, I just can't wait to walk up a very big hill and sit at the top contemplating the peace and the beauty around me 😊 #rehab #trusttheprocess #ultrarunningcoach #ultratraining #comebackstronger #over40runner #happiestinthehills #appreciatewhatyouhave$
